train up a child

Train up a child in the way he(she) should go[ teaching him to seek God's wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old , he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6

I have been in ministry for over fifty years now. I have seen a lot of things both good and bad. In the training of a child, this must take place when they are in the wound and beyond. Why do so many young people when they go off to college drop out of the church? They were never taught by their parents to love God, to love others, to obey Christ's commands and to love the church as Christ loves the church. When a parent does not bring that child to church and show them how to honor and respect God what do you think.
Abba Father, work in the heart of the parents today to demonstrate and teach their children the way of the Lord. Let the parents be examples of God's grace and love. Let them be consistent in their walk with You.-Amen!
