" I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts."( Jeremiah 31:33)
God's Word belongs in real life. Therefore the biblical instruction to us is to write the commandments on the doorpost of our hearts. Meaning, it should become part of our daily household and normal life. But we must also walk through the door of life if we want to live forever. Christ is the only door giving us entry into eternal life, He is the way, and the life. When we walk through Him to God, then He walks with us on the narrow path leading to life.

So I want us to hear from the Word of God today about PRAYER:
Philippians 4:6 says,” Don’t worry about anything ; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” Romans 8:26 says,” The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” John Bunyan said,” The best prayers have often more groans than words.” So what is PRAYER? It is basically communication with God.
Oswald Chambers said ,”Prayer is the exercise of drawing on the grace of God.” Teresa of Avila said,” Prayer is nothing else than being on terms of friendship with God.” John Knox said,” Prayer is an earnest and familiar talking with God.” Every great movement of God started from prayer. Someone or someones began praying and God responded. Let us pray. “ When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went into his house. The windows in its upper room opened toward Jerusalem, and three times a day he got down on his knees, prayed, and gave thanks to his God, just as he had done before. “ We know that Daniel was a prayer warrior. He prayed morning , noon, and night. Prayer is costly. For Daniel it was the lions' den. But God prevailed. Daniel also got to preview the End Times as did the Apostle John.Maybe that what Jesus meant when He said," Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." The pure in heart- pray.
" Then the whole assembly raised their voices and answered," Yes, you are right; we must do as you say!"( Ezra 10:12)
We all have certain duties and responsibilities in life. There are certain things we must do and tasks to carry out without even giving them a second thought. Still our hearts should be in things we do for others and for the Lord. Otherwise it turns into monotonous routines very quickly. We also need to perform our duties faithfully and loyally for the Lord. We must fulfill our responsibilities so that His name can be glorified through our dedication and faithfulness. Are we doing what God wants us to do? |
