I am going to be away from my office for a much needed break but I will be back in a few days. If you are in the US, have a great thanksgiving week. Often we take some time off during this week here in Mexico to catch our breath and to gear up for several big events we have here at the church.
God bless you!

" For we do not wrestle with against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers , against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." -Ephesian 6:12
Paul just described our enemy. Many think it is there spouse that is their enemy, or a boss, or a classmate, or some person that attacks us. Nope, it is the demonic world around us and the evil forces in place that are working. Be watchful and alert. " Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."- Ephesians 6:11
Every soldier, every warrior has to suit up, put on their equipment. I have friends who have served in the military. They had uniforms, equipment that they had to put on before they engaged in battle. And yet, we walk out into a devil control world unprepared, ill equipped , and basically uninformed to live a war torn world. Does this sound logical? No wonder our homes are breaking up and down. No wonder our countries are being destroy and taken over by ungodly forces. No wonder our churches are being infiltrated and influence by the world. Where are the well armored Christians? " A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power."- Ephesians 6:10
Have you memorized this verse yet? Better do so. I want to stop right here before I proceed and tell you that I have two motivations for writing and sending out these devotions. One is selfish. I want to learn and reinforce my faith through this discipline. I want to be strong in the Lord. Secondly, I want to help and encourage whoever is reading this. I know of two men who are so that is enough for me. I want to see more followers of Christ do the will of the Father and complete their mission on this earth. " A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power."- Ephesians 6:10 How are we to be strong? First , what is your spiritual goal? Is it to be strong in the Lord? If it is then you need a strategy, a plan to be strong. We go to the gym about four times a week. There is a guy in there bowed up. He is working on these heavy weights and it clearly shows by his defined muscles. He has a strategy to be bulked up. He has certain exercises, a number of reps and pounds he uses. One day I stopped him and asked him his workout regimen. I could see from what he does he gets results.
Most Christians do not have spiritual goals. They are haphazard in their spiritual lives and they are being kicked around by the devil. Want some help in becoming strong in the Lord? |
