Today, Sandra and I celebrate 52 years of marriage. I titled this as a Marriage Made in Heaven. It should be a marriage kept by heaven. It is only by the grace of God we have made it. As in every marriage we have had our ups and downs. Our good times and our bad times. We have struggled at various times but the Lord Jesus Christ has always been the Victor. He has won out in our relationship. Sandra and I have served the Lord together for 52 years. We were both called of the Lord to be ministers of the Gospel. Both of us have our place and purpose in the kingdom of God. This I believe has been one of the elements of our longevity. We have persevered together. Served together. Celebrated together. We did not have pre-marital counseling, In those days we did not know of such a thing. We just worked it out through the grace and wisdom of God. However, long He so chooses to us us, we are here to be His servants and subjects. We are here to honor and glorify the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Worship comes when we truly recognize God and all that He is and all that He does. What a mighty God we serve! In His Word, we see His mighty works, amazing promises. We see how He works in and through His people, How He leads, loves, heals, delivers, protects, saves... How awesome is our God. He wants us to join Him. We first must acknowledge that He is Almighty God. We must surrender to His holy will and way. We must take that step of faith and go, do what He commands. Then we will enjoy and experience that fruitful life that can only be found in Him and His will. O my Lord and Savior, lead me to that Rock that is higher than I. Lead me into that land of milk and honey.
YHWH- if I have found favor in Your sight , let me know Your ways that I might understand You fully and to continue to enjoy Your favor. Show me Your glorious presence. Show me mercy and compassion. Display Your awesome power. We desperately need You. There is no obvious power, no presence that touches our hearts. No divine motivation. We need revival. We have a generation who does not know the LORD nor the work which He has done.( Judges2:10). How will they know unless You show up and show out.
It has been over a month since I last posted a devotional. So what I am planning to do is post only a Monday devotional. To help start out the week with the Lord.
" What do you want me to do this week LORD? I want to be a pleasing aroma to You today. Not a stinking bunch of dirty rags. I want to be useful in Your kingdom. Show me what to do. I present myself as a living sacrifice(Rom.12:1-2). Jesus you spoke of a baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. Have I received that baptism? Am I living and walking in the Spirit? Are there springs of living water flowing from me? Jesus accept me and purify me that I me be a living sacrifice for you. |
