Adam and the Power of Sin in the World
Romans 5:13-14 (NKJV)
13  (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
 
Sin did not start with Moses. Sin started with Adam and so from Adam all the way to Moses, sin reigns and death reigns.Everyone who was born, except Enoch, everyone born died. Death was universal and still is. Our world is mark with tombs all over. We live very close to one of the largest cemeteries  in Mexico. It is not a lovely place.
This all sounds morbid, dark, despondent but this is what Paul is doing , he is setting us up for the Good News.
