The Lord Jesus Christ is The Lamb of God
Jesus was born in Bethlehem which means the House of Bread in Hebrew and in Aramaic “ the House of Meat”. The primary source of income was sheep raising and they supplied the sheep for sacrifices in the temple. Do you think there was a significance of Him being born in Bethlehem. Isaiah 53:7 (ESV) 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. John 1:29 (ESV) 29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 1 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV) For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
