the finish line

"  Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God."-Hebrews 12:1-2 

I see the finish line. I see Jesus standing there urging me on. There are the nail scarred hands beckoning me on. A smile is on His face. I truly hope I hear these words," Well done thy good and faithful servant." The supreme Model for the race is Jesus. the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

Abba Father, help me to keep my eyes on Jesus. Strengthen me and help me to keep focus on the real thing, on Jesus. - Amen!
