Sent One, Helper, Teacher

Before we look closer at the Holy Spirit I want to tell you a conversation a friend had with a pastor. This friend was visiting this church and afterwards talked with the pastor. She ask the pastor what was the position of the church on the Holy Spirit. The pastor replied ,"Oh, we don't teach about him, it is too controversial." You can imagine my reaction to that. Let's begin to see who the Holy Spirit is and how important He is in the believer's life.
Let’s look at God’s Word and see The Holy Spirit:
The Sent One, The Helper, The Teacher
John 14:26 (ESV)  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
He is sent by God: to help us and to teach us and He helps us to remember.
As we study the Bible, we can trust the Holy Spirit to plant truth in our mind, convince us of God’s will and remind us when we stray from it.
