Pictures of the Word of God

Now let us look at the PICTURES OF THE WORD OF GOD FOUND IN THE BIBLE
Like a word picture, the Bible describes itself in ways easy to understand and appreciate.
 The Word of God is Seed
1 Peter 1:23 (ESV)  since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
Luke 8:11 (ESV)  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
 The Word of God Is a Mirror
James 1:22-24 (ESV)
  But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.   For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.   For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.
