This past Sunday we looked at A NEW OPPORTUNITY: TITHING in our Bible study time and in our worship. This was a practice that was taught to me at an early age. When I was ten years old I wanted money to go to the movies on Saturday. So I began selling our weekly paper. I would go own and buy 20 papers for one dollar( 5 cents apiece). Then I had regular customers that I sold them for 10 cents. I made a whopping one dollar in profit. But ever Sunday I place a dime in the offering envelope and gave my tithe to the Lord. This is a practice I(we) have been doing ever since. There is a promise in the Bible that holds true for our family.
" I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous abandoned or his seed begging for bread."- Psalm 37:25
