It's true: The devil and his demons  really do believe in God- and why wouldn't they? They understand that they are engaged in a cosmic battle of titanic proportions, and they know they are up against the Creator of the universe- a truth that makes them shudder. There are no atheists in Hell! But their belief is a far cry from the kind of belief you and I are called to have.
True belief- saving belief- involves not only an intellectual acceptance of certain facts about God and about Jesus. It also involves trust and commitment- trust in Christ as our Savior, and commitment to Him as Lord!
"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that - and shudder." - James 2:19
