In this chapter we find these things happening:
Jesus institutes the Lord Supper Jesus predicts Peter's denial Jesus prays on the Mount of Olives Jesus is betrayed and arrested Peter betrays Jesus and Jesus is brought before the council in an illegal, mock trial. All of this took place in one night. Here is how Jesus responded to these men," But from now on the Son of Man will be seated in the place of power at God's right hand."( Luke 22:68) Guess what? he is seated there right now, interceding for his children. Hallelujah!

All the things that happened to Jesus Christ are needed for the salvation of our souls. Jesus Christ sacrifices his blood for our sins to be cleansed and be worthy of salvation. He suffered for us, He was betrayed by His own disciple, He was mocked and was crucified to pay for our sins. All His sacrifices did not go in vain, in fact, because of His sacrifices we are deemed worthy of salvation come judgement day.
