Luke Twenty-four

There is the Resurrection of Christ but the outstanding event that always touches me is The Walk to Emmaus. Jesus walks with these two men. He engages them in their discussion of the events of the week. He even comes to eat dinner with them. They do not recognize him. That is why I ask, would you recognize Jesus if He came to your house? But here is the verse that touches me each time I read it." Didn't our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?"( 24:32)
Does your heart burn for Christ Jesus. when you read or hear His word does your heart burn? Why or why not?
Have we grown so cold that even His Word has no effect upon us today?
