Devotionals
In chapter seven Jesus encounters a Roman officer who is interceding for one of his slaves. After a conversation with Jesus, Jesus says of this man," I tell you, I haven't seen faith like this in all of Israel." Now we are talking about a pagan man coming to Jesus and believing that all Jesus had to do was speak it and the slave would be healed. Then we see Jesus interrupting a funeral service to raise a widow's son. Jesus just does those kind of things. Heals a slave. Raises a dead to life.
One more thing: listen to what He says of John the Baptist," I tell you, of all who ever lived, none is greater than John, Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of God is greater than he is." He is talking about you.
