The Cost of Being a Disciple
Luke 14:26-28 (NLT2) “If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. “But don’t begin until you count the cost. Have you ever consider the real cost of following Jesus? The disciples gave up everything to follow Jesus. We , what have we given up? What has it cost to follow Jesus? Most follow Him at a distance, not wanting to be too serious, too fanatical.
