Jesus calls his disciples. What is so amazing is this statement: " they left everything and followed Jesus." Matthew left his lucrative tax collecting job and follow him. Some left their fishing boats and followed him.Why? Because they saw in Jesus someone they could follow. Eventually, all but one would die a martyr's death. Do you know anyone ,"who left it all and followed Jesus. They are the exception today. But it is happening all over the world. They lose their families, their jobs, and many even their lives to follow Jesus. Are you really ready to follow Jesus?

We should set Jesus disciples as an example. We can't definitely follow Him physically, but we can follow His teachings and commandments. His disciples are willing to leave all behind, and so must we. We will not dwell on this earth on judgement day, we will be saved and live in His promised land. In the promised land, we will not feel any more pain, hunger, thirst or sufferings. Leave a Reply. |
