Happy 4th of July!  I hope you are having  or will be having a wonderful day. Sandra and I have lived out of the country for many years and have visited many countries and we still think the USA is a great country. Yes, it has it flaws and is not perfect in many ways. But when you are living outside your own country there is a greater appreciation of your heritage and just how you were raised. Both of us were raised in the South. We love the South, especially Texas. But we also have loved the places we lived outside the country like Costa Rica and Mexico. We love the people, we love the culture and customs. We are grateful to God that we were born in the USA but we are also thankful that we have had the experience of expanding our worldview to include others. Let's celebrate our freedom, while we still have it. You know I still shed a tear when our National Anthem is played and when we say the Pledge of Allegiance.
