Man Has Rejected God Through Intellectualism
The word “thoughts’ in verse 21 is the Greek word from which we get our word “dialogue”. It means to reason. When man rejects and suppresses the knowledge of God, he has nothing left but his own reason. The best man can do in his own unaided intellect is to rearrange error. An error-filled dialogue does not lead to the truth. When man’s foolish heart is darkened, his heart becomes blinded to the truth(Eph.4:18). Rejection and suppression of truth is a downward spiral leading to the revelation of God’s wrath.
