Devotionals
The Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard looked around Copenhagen in the 19th century and saw lots of “Christians” – but they were Christians in quotation marks. They owned unread Bibles, and belonged to unattended churches. Even more tragically, they never encountered the God who spoke words of eternal forgiveness for the cross. They had a powerless religion. Kierkegaard recommended that Christians ask God to “ Take back , this[Bible}; …it only makes us unhappy.” The professing Christians had the Bible and the knowledge of God, but it did them no good.
Are you a "Christian " in quotation marks or a true follower of Christ?
