Immorality

 
We are working our way through Romans 1. We are looking at how man rejects the truth about God. He does so through Irreligion. Ingratitude, Intellectualism, Ignorance, Idolatry  and now we see he does :

1. Man Has Rejected God Through Immorality

Verse 24 demonstrates the strong connection between idolatry and immorality. Immorality is the child of idolatry because idols do not protect one from impurity and neither can they inspire one toward holiness.  Paul instructs us to’…flee idolatry”( 1 Cor.10:14) and on two occasions admonishes his readers to run away from immorality.
2 Timothy 2:22 (NKJV) -"  Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."
1 Corinthians 6:18 (NKJV)
  "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
