Get Wisdom

Proverbs 4:5 (NKJV) - " Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth."

"Get wisdom" suggests "buy wisdom." because the Hebrew word carries the idea of a commercial transaction. To want to know God's truth and obey it comes with a price. " Buy the truth and do not sell it"( Prov.23:23). Parents and grandparents can teach us, but only we can receive the Word into our hearts, cherish it, and pay the price to obey it.
