Devotionals
It is January 2, 2019 is it not? In Philippians 3:12-14 (ESV)
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. I see four things about Paul and his life: He was dissatisfied with his spiritual progress. He wanted and needed more spiritual growth. He was devoted to run the Christian race. He was directed, looking forward not backward. We break the power of the past by living for the future. He was determined, to follow Christ. It is Christ in us, the hope of glory. If Paul was this way and wanted and needed more of Jesus , what about us?
