BIBLE PASSAGE Genesis 3:15
STORY “A Very Bad Day” GOSPEL CONNECTION It was a very bad day. God cursed the snake, the man, and the woman. He promised that hardship and death would come to every human. (And it has!) But he also promised a new start. A fresh start. Adam and Eve would die, but not right away. Eve would have children. More than that (much more than that!), one of her offspring—a child that would come from her children’s children’s children’s children—would deal with the snake. Let’s call him the Snake Crusher. We know him as Jesus. Jesus fulfilled the mysterious promise God made in Gen. 3:15. Satan would hurt Eve’s offspring. He “bruised” Jesus. Jesus died. And yet, the Bible tells us that when Jesus died, he destroyed Satan. He crushed the snake! And God kept his amazing promise to Adam and Eve. Yes, Jesus’s worst day was our best day
