And they said to one another," Did not our heat burn within us while He (Jesus) talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"( Luke24:32). Then we read where Jeremiah says,"But His word was in my heart like a burning fire."(Jer.20:9). As I read these two verses, the question comes to me is: Does God's word burn in my heart? Does it have any effect on me? Or do I just routinely read and do not pay attention to what God is saying? What did Jesus say," Seeing they do not see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand."( Mark 4:12).
O God burn your word into our hearts, let it be a burning fire.
