" Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible."-Hebrews 11:1-3
Do I really live by faith? I try to convince myself I do but do I really. Of course, I trusted Christ as my Savior by faith. I believe that He is the Son of God who came to this earth to redeem us from sin. I believe He died on the cross, was buried, rose on the third day and ascended where He sits at the right hand of God. I believe that or I would not be saved. I believed. Abba Father, I thank You for giving me that faith to believe in You and to receive the gift of eternal life. I thank You that I have faith but I believe I need more. Please give me the gift of faith. Thank You!- Amen!

" In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."John 16:23-24 (ESV)
Christ Jesus expects us to ask Him for that which we need, that which we are concerned. But do we take these things to Him in prayer? Often we don't except in emergencies. When we ask in Jesus' name then we will experience abundant joy. Abba Father, I come to You today asking that You do a mighty work in my life that I may serve You fully and completely. That my joy may be full and that others may experience Your life in them.-Amen! " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)
Anxiety is a curse of the age. We are uptight about everything these days. In fact in Proverbs it says," Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression." God says bring it all to me. With a thankful heart bring all of your anxieties, your worries, your fears to me and receive the peace I can give you. Abba Father, I thank You that I can come with a thankful heart every day and give you all of my concerns, my requests and You take them and in place You give me peace. Thank You!- Amen! |
