God’s Plans for my life will always be good.
Second, God always gives me what I need , not what I deserve. And third, Because God is Good, GOD PUT MY GOOD ABOVE HIS OWN GOOD This is the heart of the gospel. The king sacrifices his life for the peasants. The shepherd dies for the sheep. The ultimate expression of love. In John 10:1415: Jesus says,”I am the GOOD shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me… And I will sacrifice my life for my sheep.” Really? John 15:13 –“ The greatest love you can have is to give your life for others.”

One of your greatest fears is the fear of rejection. We do everything to avoid it.
We try to cover up the bad parts of our lives. Some years ago there was a book written called,”Why Am I Afraid to Tell You Who I Am? And the answer is because if I tell you what I am really like and you don’t like it, you will reject me. But because God is good, he will never reject you. No fear in that relationship. PS.27:10-13 “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close…my enemies are waiting for me to fail…Yet I remain confident that I’ll see the goodness of the Lord while I’m living here in the world.” God always gives me what I need, not what I deserve.
If you and I got what we deserved we wouldn’t even be here. PS.103:10&12 “He has not treated us as we deserve for our sins or paid us back for our wrongs…( in his goodness), he has taken our sins away and removed them as far as the east is from the west.” When David committed adultery and murder- did he deserve mercy? NO but he knew God is good, so here is what he prayed… PS.51:1-2 “ God , in your goodness, have mercy on me…wash away my guilt and make me clean again. From my sin cleanse me.”” God does not forgive you because you are good, but because He is good. Listen to what Romans 8:28 says,” We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.”
The more you pray, the better you know your purpose, the better you know your purpose-the more God can use everything for the good. Can you understand this??? God can even use the hurts, the difficult situations from others! For example: Joseph and his bad to the bone brothers. So what happen. Listen what Joseph said to them: Gen, 50:20- “ Your plan was to hurt me, but God turned your evil plan into a GOOD plan to save the lives of many people.” You are no accident, there is a purpose for your life.
God put a lot of thought into creating you. God’s plans for you are revealed and realized through prayer. God didn’t have to create a plan for you. He could have left it all to chance, but He didn’t. Why? Because God is good. David says in Psalm 31:19,” God , your goodness is so great. You have stored up great blessings for those who honor you. You do so much for those who come to you for protection, Blessing them before the watching world.” |
