I find this often in peoples lives. They seldom pray but when a crisis comes boy do they pray. Get bad news: Start praying “God if you will get me out of this mess…! Use prayer at the last resort. It is meant to be your first choice. Before you buy that car, pray. Before you go looking for that job, pray. Before you accept a date or get married, pray. Before you eat , pray. Prayer should be your first choice. Is it?

A real devotee would be more immersed in serving the community not only by feeding the poor but also those who are poor in spirit. They will not be overly preoccupied with their own personal relationship with God but rather, how others can have an equally fruitful devotional calling. They believe that this is the only way they can feel joy in these lifetime. Because the truth is, you can never be truly happy on your own or with the fulfilment of personal goals. You can only have a glimpse of happiness if you see this in others and it's going to be contagious. Leave a Reply. |
