Devotionals
Why pray? Because God expects it. Jesus said ,”When you pray.” Because it is the way to communicate with our Heavenly Father. Because Jesus prayed. It was a priority. It says that Jesus often got away and prayed. One of his last sentences on the cross was a prayer.” Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Because throughout the history of the church, it has been a priority, a necessity. When the church fails to pray the church suffers, society suffers, families suffer, individuals suffer. Mother Teresa said this,” The more you pray, the easier it becomes. The easier it becomes,, the more you pray.

I don't think suffering is caused by a shortage of people praying. Those who are doing just fine, they never forget to pray. If anyone or everyone is in pain, they will have more reasons to pray than those who seem rather blessed. So we shouldn't really blame misfortunes to any shortage of people praying. Maybe it's about time we just change how we view things a little. We should always see the blessing in every misfortune. If we don't have food on our plates, we should thank God for reminding us we need to work or try to lose weight or something. Sometimes it's all just a matter of perspective and yes, it will be easier to accept things if we pray more.
