Hebrews 12:5-6 (NASB) -" and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, "MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES."
I will never forget the conversation with my dad when he was laying flat on the bed after he had broken his back at work. I ask him why this happen. His answer was that God sometimes has to discipline us and that what God was doing to him. Has or is God discipline you?

" Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions. Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God," - Colossians 1:24-25
We clearly see who Jesus Christ is… We see what He has done for us Redeemed us Forgiven us Reconciled us to God Made peace with God We see that we need to rejoice in our sufferings But I must admit that it is very difficult to ‘rejoice in my sufferings”. But that is what we are suppose to do.- Rejoice!!! Romans 11:36 (NASB)
" For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen." Do you think that maybe , perhaps what you are going through is from God? That there is a purpose and plan behind it? Manley Beasley says, these trials, temptations, and testings are our friends. For they draw us closer to God. No one wants to go through trials, temptations or testings but God uses them for our good and for His glory. I know that many are struggling, it may be with health, finances or family situation( a marriage, or with your children or with some other part of your family.) These areas of life we are most involved.
Several way you can deal with these problems:
Does God ever wake you up in the middle of the night? I don't mean you had too much pizza or some other spicy food and wake up with indigestion. Has He woke you up and work on you? Well, He did me this past Saturday. I woke up at 12:45 am and could not go back to sleep. This is rare for me. Finally, I got up and began to read and pray. I took a brief nap and at 4:45 went into my study and began to work on a message that God was working on me. I have found out that when He is working me over with a Word from Him it is also meant for others. I did share it in the worship service and the subject was "Dealing With Adversity." I think I will share some of it with you this week.
