All of us want to belong somewhere. Our family, friends and local community are places where we want to feel welcome and loved. The most important thing is to know that we always belong to God. The fact that He made is His children in Christ is the greatest comfort and certainty in our lives. In life and death we are part of His brand-new nation-" the Kingdom of God." We are His people, His co-heirs, and His treasured possessions. " But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

" For this reason I kneel before the Father." ( Ephesians 3:14)
To bow our knees before God, as Paul literally puts it in Ephesians 3;14, is to know our place before Him. His holiness wills us to bow down low before Him. Our own unworthiness makes us crumble before God. We are like dust to the heavenly scales, yet God has compassion on us. He sees us through His grace when we're humble and small before Him. Then God, in turn can fill us, and use us for His glory. " Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker." Psalm 95:6 (NKJV) |
