Romans 8:29 (ESV)
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. God’s ultimate goal for us is to make us like Christ. As we become more and more like Him , we discover our true selves, the persons we were created to be. How can we become like Christ?

The Renewer
Titus 3:5-6 (ESV) he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, Renewal or revival can only come through the Holy Spirit. We cannot generate or produce it ourselves. It is a sovereign act of God. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 (NLT2) As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth. Being made holy is this process of Christian growth through which the Holy Spirit makes us like Christ. The Prayer Teacher
Romans 8:26-27 (ESV) 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Il The other morning in my prayer time I was praying for someone and all of a sudden I did not know how to pray for that person. I just pause and said,” You know father.” Jude 1:20 (ESV) 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, The Fruit Producer
Galatians 5:22-25 (ESV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit produces these character traits that are found in the nature of Christ. They are by-products of Christ’s control- we cannot obtain them on our own. If we want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us, we must join our lives to his( Christ Jesus). Jesus calls it abiding or remaining The Truth
John 16:13-14 (ESV) When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. The truth into which the Holy Spirit guides us is the truth about Jesus Christ. The Spirit helps us through patient practice to discern right from wrong. 1 Corinthians 2:10 (ESV) these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. The “depths of God” refers to God’s limitless nature and wonderful plan- Jesus’ death and resurrection- and to the promise of salvation, revealed only to those who believe what God says is true. |
