" A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power."- Ephesians 6:10 How are we to be strong? First , what is your spiritual goal? Is it to be strong in the Lord? If it is then you need a strategy, a plan to be strong. We go to the gym about four times a week. There is a guy in there bowed up. He is working on these heavy weights and it clearly shows by his defined muscles. He has a strategy to be bulked up. He has certain exercises, a number of reps and pounds he uses. One day I stopped him and asked him his workout regimen. I could see from what he does he gets results.
Most Christians do not have spiritual goals. They are haphazard in their spiritual lives and they are being kicked around by the devil. Want some help in becoming strong in the Lord?

Being a parent is hard; every child is different, and every day brings fresh challenges.
First, see your children as a gift from God. He entrusted them to you; take them as a gift(and responsibility) from His hands. Second, let them know you love them, Show affection for them; teach them right and wrong; spend time with them. Third, be an example of faith. Pray with them, read the Bible to them, and let them see that Christ is important to you. I had great parents that did that and they took me to church all the time. With God's help , you can be the kind of parent they need. " Train a child in the way he(she) should go, and when he(she) is old he(she) will not turn from it."- Proverbs 22:6 Is faith illogical, as some would have you believe? No, not at all. Some of the most brilliant people I have ever known were also people of deep faith in Christ, and without exception they said they believed in the Gospel because it made sense. Believing our intricate world happened by accident, they said, takes more faith than believing in God!
But there is another reason for their faith: They were convinced Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be: God in human flesh, sent to save us from our sins. I think of C.S. Lewis, Josh McDowell, Lee Strobel and others who search for the truth and found Him. "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made."- Romans 1:20 |
