The great mystery of God's incarnation- of God coming to earth in the person of Jesus- is the message over which rationalists stumble, humanists are offended, and the world bewildered. The unbelieving mind is confused by this truth, which runs counter to human wisdom.
Sinful people are incapable of coming to God on their own efforts, so God in love and mercy descended to earth to save us. The creature could not go up to the Creator- so the Creator came down to redeem His creation. May the Holy Spirit of God confirm in your heart the wondrous mystery of the Incarnation.
