" and behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:49
This has always been a dilemma for me. We say we have the Holy Spirit in our lives upon being born again and I believe that. But I don't seem to have the promised power from the Holy Spirit. Jesus told them to wait until they receive the power. Well- they did and we had "Pentecost". I do need a "Pentecost" in my life and ministry. Father God, I believe I need a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. I receive "handful on purpose" and I thank You for those times of anointing. But, Lord, I want that "dunamis" power you have promised us. I want to declare the Word in Holy Spirit power. Thank you!- Amen!

" For I am confident of the very thing, that He who began a good work in you, will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
Years ago Jesus Christ began a work in me, perfecting, maturing me. He has continued to do that work in me ( sometimes I have cooperated and sometimes no). But He has and He will complete tha work until the day He comes for me. Abba Father, that You for You continual work in me, Thank You that You have not giving up on me. I pray that I may finish well. Finish strong because You are still working on me. Psalm 5:1-3 (NLT) "O LORD, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning.
Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you. Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. I know God listens and He pays attention to my prayers, my groanings. I hope I can pray as consistently as this psalmist did. Do I bring my requests to Him? Do I wait expectantly? Well, I need to. Heavenly Father, I ask of You this day for strength, for protection, for inspiration, for Your touch. Father, show me today the Father's love. I ask that You give me a Word from You to share with our people. Bless You, Abba Father!- Amen! " O that You would bless me and enlarge my territory. Let Your hand be with me and You would keep me from evil that I would not cause pain." 1 Chronicles 4:10
I have been praying this prayer for over 30 years after I discovered it. I am truly blessed and God has definitely increased my ministry; God Has protected me(us) and He provides a shield of protection against temptation. I need to be more consistent in praying this prayer. O Lord bless me,enlarge my territory, let Your hand be with me and keep me from evil that I may not cause pain. Father, I want to be used more now than in the past. Baptize me in the Holy Spirit that I may be endued with power to serve You and glorify You daily.-Amen! " The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased all that Job had twofold." Job 42:10
Praying for others is very important especially those who have offended , hurt or disappointed you. In the ministry that happens almost daily. But God will bless me if I keep praying for those who have. Abba Father, I have neglected praying for others as I used to. Let me get back to that responsibility. I will pray for______________. Help me to be faithful in this, Help me to do so in my preparation for this wedding I will be doing this weekend. -Amen! |
